Penn State is located within driving distance of most major cities in the northeast (Harrisburg - 1.5 hrs, Washington DC - 4 hrs, Baltimore - 3.5 hrs, Philadelphia - 3.5 hrs, Pittsburgh - 2.5 hrs, New York City - 4 hrs, and Boston - 8 hrs). It is also within driving distance of cities in the midwest and southeast (Detroit - 8 hrs, Columbus - 5 hrs, Indianapolis - 10 hrs, Raleigh - 8 hrs, Atlanta - 10 hrs). The University Park Airport is served by Delta, Northwest, United, and USAirways airlines with connections in Cinncinatti, Detroit, Washington Dulles, and Philadelphia. The airport is a short 5 minute drive to the Conference Center Hotel. Other major metropolitan areas within driving distance of State College, PA that offer direct domestic and international service include Harrisburg , Pittsburgh, Philadelphia International, Baltimore Washington International, Washington Dulles, Regan National, Newark, Laguardia, and JFK.
